A new version of a cardiology enterprise imaging platform now includes congenital echocardiology, and nuclear cardiology functionality.

The enterprise imaging platform is designed to provide efficient access to clinically relevant images, and features advanced reporting, real-time visual collaboration tools, and post-processing capabilities. The system enables access, even from a remote location, to the complete cardiology file of a patient. The system can generate reports, and distribute them, all in one session, using a task-based workflow that is aligned with the clinical workflow of an institution.

Agfa HealthCare announced the new version of its Enterprise Imaging for Cardiology platform that includes the new congenital echocardiology, and nuclear cardiology structured reporting modules. Enterprise Imaging for Cardiology is part of Agfa Healthcare's Enterprise Imaging converged platform that provides a single point of access, and standards-based, task-based, care-centric workflow intended to improve interoperability. In addition, the platform enables a patient health record across departments even between multiple facilities.

Global VP of Agfa HealthCare, James Jay, said, "Cardiology continues to be an image-intense domain, and the Enterprise Imaging for cardiology platform offers a value-based care solution providing access to clinically relevant cardiology data. By enhancing the features and functions to cover more sub-specialties, we extend the support for patient-centric care all along the care continuum."
