A new 2D medical ultrasound system with improved image processing and Doppler performance has been launched.

The high-performance diagnostic system provides higher resolution imaging, and is faster than previous models, and features new hardware and software beamforming, and new controls.

The Alpinion Medical Systems (Seoul, Korea) E-CUBE 15 Platinum 2D ultrasound system features the Alpinion FleXcan Pro Architecture, the Optimal Image Suite Plus tool for image optimization, Xpeed for faster acquisition of optimized clinical images, and transducers that use Crystal Signature, a new single-crystal technology developed by Alpinion. These innovations improve image resolution and quality, and provide higher sensitivity, and a wider bandwidth.

The new Graphics User Interface (GUI) of the E-CUBE 15 Platinum system improves the user workflow, readability, and the speed and ease of access to essential modes and functions. Another new feature called Power Preset speeds up and simplifies image setting. The six configurable control panel keys have been rearranged for improved usability and speed during diagnosis, with less key strokes required. Boot-time is reduced to approximately 60 seconds and there is a new 512 GB Solid-State Drive (SSD).

The E-CUBE 15 Platinum also offers new visualization features and analysis tools for various clinical applications. Another new feature called Volume Advance enables more accurate and detailed volume analysis by slicing volumes. Volume Advance displays both pathological and anatomical features and includes AnySlice, and Free Angle MSV. Improved post-processing also enables users to make in-depth diagnosis and tracking observation after initial diagnosis. The scalable architecture of the system facilitates system upgrades, and the addition of new features in the future.
