Diagnostic imaging equipment manufacturer, Shimadzu Corporation (Kyoto, Japan) has released the new MobileDaRt Evolution MX8 version digital mobile X-ray system, which features the company’s first telescoping support column for increasingly convenient drivability and improved forward visibility. Designed to provide multi-faceted support, the MX8 also a features a large completely flat monitor screen, a lockable Flat Panel Detector (FPD) housing compartment, an extensive selection of options and improved operability.
The newly redesigned MobileDaRt Evolution MX8 version features an X-ray tube support column that can be extended or retracted and has a more compact system width. In comparison to the previous model had a maximum height of 1930 mm tall during travel, the new MX8 is only 1270 mm tall and 560 mm wide, making it narrower by 20 mm. This shorter profile provided by the collapsible column dramatically improves its forward visibility during travel, and its compact size makes it easier to drive the system in narrow spaces. Additionally, the maximum X-ray focal point height of the MX8 has been increased by 15 mm, making it easier to examine patients on higher beds.
The MX8 comes with a completely flat 19-inch monitor and new security features, such as the addition of a locking function for the FPD housing compartment. The MobileDaRt Evolution MX8 version also offers new optional features such as a wireless hand switch for X-ray exposure operations and a height-adjustable grip bar. The MX8 is ideal for hospital rounds and examining patients in emergency rooms, neonatal intensive care units or other highly urgent medical applications.
