The Radiological Society of North America (RSNA, Oak Brook, IL, USA) has revealed highlights of the Technical Exhibits that attendees can look forward to at the 109th Scientific Assembly and Annual Meeting, RSNA 2023: Leading Through Change, to be held in Chicago at McCormick Place, Nov. 26 – 30. Currently, artificial intelligence (AI) is playing a more significant role in the field of medical imaging. RSNA is the world’s leading professional radiology organization and the trusted source for science and education in the field, offering the required expertise, practical guidance, and vetted tools for the ethical use of AI technology in medical imaging. RSNA 2023 introduces the latest in AI research, education, and technological advances to attendees.

The Technical Exhibits will be set up in both the North and South Halls of McCormick Place, spanning over 395,000 square feet. These exhibits will feature the newest advancements in medical imaging, ranging from AI and 3D printing to CT and MRI technologies, among others. Participants will have the chance to discover products and services from numerous companies in the industry. The North Hall will host the 3D Printing & Mixed Reality Showcase, which returns this year with 23 exhibitors showcasing how these technologies can produce lifelike models and simulations for educational, diagnostic, and therapeutic purposes.

Over in the South Hall, visitors can explore the AI Showcase, which is sponsored by AIRS Medical, Bayer Calantic Digital Solutions, and Google Cloud. With 93 exhibitors on hand, this section will focus on how AI is improving the quality and efficiency of medical imaging. The AI Theater in the same hall will offer daily talks from diverse companies, presenting emerging technologies in medical imaging AI. It will also be the venue for recognizing the winners of the RSNA 2023 Abdominal Trauma Detection AI Challenge. Adjacent to this is the Innovation Theater, where attendees can catch daily presentations from industry experts and a special Center Stage talk.

The AI Showcase will also feature the Imaging AI in Practice exhibit, where attendees can interact with new AI technologies designed to be incorporated into diagnostic radiology workflows. This part of the exhibit aims to help attendees understand the potential of AI in their practices, guide them in asking the right questions, and offer advice on how to implement AI at scale. Directly opposite the AI Theater, visitors can find the RSNAI Resource Center. This space will allow attendees to learn more and ask questions about various RSNA-led initiatives related to medical imaging AI, including the RSNA Imaging AI Certificate Program, the Medical Imaging and Data Resource Center (MIDRC), and RSNA's online journal, Radiology: Artificial Intelligence.

“Exhibitors are excited about RSNA 2023,” said John P. Jaworski, CEM, RSNA assistant executive director of Meetings & Exhibition Services. “From large bellwether companies to small startups, this year will have nearly 700 companies, including over 100 first-time exhibitors, displaying a wide range of products and solutions in two large exhibit halls at McCormick Place. We have seen more companies from around the globe return to exhibit and exciting growth in the specialty exhibit areas. The RSNA 2023 Technical Exhibition will have many opportunities to explore and learn about the latest technological solutions in health care.”
