The TS2000 screening system for breast cancer will be marketed exclusively outside the United States by Siemens Medical Engineering (Erlangen, Germany), and Siemens' market will be expanded from hospitals to include clinics, breast centers, and doctors' offices. These are the terms of a new agreement signed by Siemens and TransScan Medical, Inc. (Ramsey, NJ, USA), which developed the TS2000.

Based on the principle of electrical scanning, the TS2000 allows radiation-free, painless, real-time scanning of the breast.
