The global hospital mobile X-ray market to projected to grow at a CAGR of 10.1% from more than YSD 1.60 billion in 2019 to nearly USD 3.5 billion in 2027, driven by increasing awareness of early diagnosis, rising prevalence of chronic conditions, and better patient experience. However, poor reimbursement for diagnostic equipment might hinder market growth.

These are the latest findings of ResearchAndMarkets (Dublin, Ireland), the world’s largest market research store.

X-ray technology is widely used in the healthcare system mostly for diagnostic applications. X-ray machines are used in healthcare as a part of radiography, radiotherapy, and fluoroscopic-type procedures. They are also commonly used for fast, and highly penetrating imaging, as well as in high bone content areas. There are different types of X-ray machines for medical applications in the market, such as mobile, stationary, computed radiography, direct radiography, and others. These machines are installed in hospitals, clinics, and diagnostic centers.

Based on technology, the computed radiography segment held the largest share of the hospital mobile X-ray market in 2019, although the direct radiography segment is expected to register the highest CAGR during the forecast period. Based on configuration, the fixed arm segment held the largest share of the hospital mobile X-ray market in 2019, although the rotating arm segment is expected to register the highest CAGR during the forecast period. In terms of ward, the operating theater segment held the largest share of the hospital mobile X-ray market in 2019, although the emergency department segment is expected to register the highest CAGR during the forecast period.
