Agfa Radiology Solutions (Mortsel, Belgium) showcased its artificial intelligence (AI) and digital radiography (DR) product portfolio at France’s national radiology congress, the Journées Francophones de Radiologie (JFR), held in Paris on October 11-14. The theme of this year’s JFR was “The Enhanced Radiologist” in all its human, ethical, algorithmic and therapeutic dimensions, for the benefit of radiologists and their patients.

At Agfa’s booth in JFR 2019, radiology professionals discovered intelligent radiography powered by the MUSICA acquisition workstation: the Digital Nerve Center of every Agfa DR system. The MUSICA Nerve Center offers customer-driven workflow and powerful, innovative features and functionalities, such as a touch-enabled intuitive interface, fast previews, a vast number of exam presets for both static and dynamic images, and much more. Radiologists benefit from fast access to images, the diagnostic confidence of MUSICA’s fully automatic image processing, the potential for up to 60% dose reduction³, comfortable and fast reading, high reliability and a unique 1-click workflow.

The MUSICA Nerve Center helps support compliance with a broad range of regulations and standards, while offering easy system administration and manageability. Reporting tools enable the radiology department to continuously improve imaging, by flagging training needs, reducing rejects and repeats, and monitoring dose.

Visitors to JFR were also able to see the DR 100e mobile system and the SE workstation for image management, among other offerings, at Agfa’s booth. The DR 100e is a compact, mobile imaging system that makes bedside and ICU imaging convenient and cost-effective. It can be quickly maneuvered down even narrow corridors, set up right where needed, and gives patients a comfortable imaging experience. The powerful X-ray generator and excellent DR quality, including MUSICA image processing, provide maximum cost-effectiveness and performance.

“Intelligence is changing the face of healthcare, including radiography. At JFR 2019, we will show visitors how we are putting intelligence to work improving the delivery of patient care,” said Iskandar Accaoui, Imaging Manager, Agfa Europe. “With our MUSICA Nerve Center, powering a scalable, comprehensive DR portfolio, every facility can experience the benefits of operational efficiency, dose reduction and high performance throughout the entire digital imaging workflow.”
