A new-generation of a touch screen Doppler ultrasound system has been launched at the 2015 European Congress of Radiology (ECR) in Vienna (Austria).
In addition, a new color Doppler ultrasound systems for obstetrics and gynecology, a hand-carried ultrasound system for cardiology, a digital radiography system, and an open Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) system capable of dual-mode scanning were unveiled by the same manufacturer.
The innovations were presented by Mindray Medical International (Nanshan, Shenzhen, China). The novel TE7 touch screen ultrasound system has an ergonomic design and an intuitive user interface, and focused exam presets. The system is intended for critical care, emergency medicine, pain management and anesthesia, and musculoskeletal bedside exams. The system can boot in three seconds from standby, and features enhanced visualization for needles, full screen imaging, color flow tracking, and real-time scanning optimization. The TE7 has a retractable power cable, and a built-in battery.
Ms. Sarah Li, general manager of the Medical Imaging System Business Unit, Mindray, said, “Mindray maintains its rapid pace of innovation with delivery of the TE7 high-performance ultrasound system, providing the optimal bedside patient assessment. Intensive development efforts have resulted in the TE7 offering simplicity, efficiency, and intuitive operation with touch gesture. And with targeted application presets combined with clarity of imaging, the TE7 is the perfect choice for a confident diagnosis in diverse point-of-care scenarios.”
