Carestream Health (Rochester, NY, USA) demonstrated its innovative portfolio of medical imaging and healthcare IT systems at the European Congress of Radiology (ECR) 2019, the largest radiology meeting in Europe, held from February 27 until March 3 in Vienna, Austria. Visitors to the Carestream booth learnt how its range of solutions can improve efficiency, enhance patient care and reduce costs of the patient care pathway.
At ECR 2019, Carestream showcased its OnSight 3D Extremity system that performs high-quality, low-dose 3D extremity exams, capturing weight-bearing exams of lower extremities under normal load conditions for orthopedic practices, imaging centers and hospitals; and its new CARESTREAM DRX-Revolution Nano Mobile DR system that uses carbon nanotube technology and is lighter, non-motorized, making it easier to transport and position in confined critical care areas.
The company also highlighted the DRX-Evolution Plus digital radiography system that offers major software and hardware enhancements to help expedite complex medical imaging exams and support future advanced imaging applications; and the DRX-Revolution mobile X-ray system with a collapsible column that makes it safer and easier to drive. Additionally, Carestream promoted its thin, lightweight DRX Plus detectors which offer enhanced image quality, faster availability of images and longer battery life per charge; and its DRX Core detectors which make reliable, high-quality DR imaging affordable for imaging centers, small to mid-size hospitals, clinics and urgent care facilities, specialty practices and mobile imaging providers.
Carestream also highlighted its Vue Clinical Collaboration Platform, a powerful imaging solution that allows healthcare providers to create a real Enterprise Imaging Health Record; its Clinical Collaboration Platform with a unified core featuring multiple modules; efficient diagnostic tools and native multimedia interactive reporting for improved clinical productivity; intuitive communication and collaboration tools to streamline operations; advanced workflow orchestration techniques and analytics to optimize cross-enterprise resource utilization; a Vendor Neutral Archive module to centralize enterprise imaging repository to consolidate archives and lower costs, as well as its award-winning Universal Viewer module which offers providers access to the images and data they need to deliver better care.
Among its other solutions showcased at ECR 2019 were the Vita Flex CR System and the DRYVIEW 5700 Laser Imaging System which are an ideal capture to print solution for sites focused on affordability and simplicity; and the CARESTREAM Managed Print Solutions, a Web-based, pay-per-print program that tracks laser imaging film usage and remotely monitors and delivers film inventory according to each facility’s needs.
