Wireless Flat Panel X-Ray Detector Operates with Ultra-Wideband Connectivity

A next-generation wireless flat panel X-ray detector is a shrewd technologic fit for any imaging department.

While its design makes it a robust and effective digital X-ray solution, its powerful functionality allows the user to achieve more with existing X-ray systems. In essence, the system allows the user to achieve more with existing equipment--now and in the future.

GE Healthcare’s (Chalfont St. Giles, UK) FlashPad is the only flat panel wireless detector that helps enable sophisticated applications on GE radiography systems. Even if the user is not using advanced applications now available, a FlashPad DR panel allows the capability in the future by offering an investment protection. Wireless devices are flourishing in the healthcare space, resulting in more wi-fi traffic. Digital images are large and must compete for the same space--forcing even more congestion.

GE’s Wireless FlashPad is the only wireless flat panel detector to operate with ultra-wideband (UWB) connectivity. Instead of competing with other data on Wi-Fi networks, it communicates independently on a dedicated, high-priority channel--therefore, data are routed with speed and effectiveness.
