A new, elevated radiographic table with four-way floating tabletop provides a new pedestal design that allows it to be positioned at any angle to the detector. The table is narrower to facilitate cross-table exams and has a floor pivot that facilitates auto-positioning.

Carestream Health, Inc.(Rochester, NY, USA) introduced the new radiographic table for use with its Kodak Directview digital radiography systems. It is lightweight, easy to adjust, and offers even more flexible patient positioning. This versatile table can also be used for computed radiography and film-based procedures. It is available immediately in Canada, Europe, and the United States, as well as most Arab, Asian, and Pacific Rim countries.

Other key features include pedals for both up and down movement; brakes on every wheel offer greater stability and patient safety; simultaneously break set and release with a foot pedal; complete length of tabletop (212 cm) can be X-rayed; and one-step bar for float release.

Carestream Health is a leading provider of dental and medical imaging systems and healthcare information technology (IT) systems; molecular imaging systems for the life science research and drug discovery/development market segments; and X-ray film and digital X-ray products for the non-destructive testing market.
