A new flat panel X-Ray detector mounting system has been developed that can be screw-mounted on walls, attached to doors using nylon loops, or suspended from a hook from a cupboard door, for example.

The mounting system is suitable for installation in old-age homes, tents, field hospitals, outdoors on trees, ships, oil rigs, in confined spaces, and emergency medical care in remote medical care outposts. The mount is intended to replace conventional heavy wall-mounted or mobile stands.

The mount weighs 400 g, is adjustable in height, and can be used for imaging of any part of the body, for seated or standing patients. The mount is made from hard-wearing nylon, a toothed belt with adjustable steps, and a powder-coated stainless steel hook that can support a tensile load of up to 10 kg. The mount can be folded for transport and storage.

The mount was developed by OR Technology (Rostock, Germany) and is suitable for all X-ray flat panel detectors with or without a protective cover. The mount can be rolled up and stored or transported in a cloth bag. The dimensions of the mount for storage are 20 cm x 15 cm x 8 cm.
