“When purchasing radiographic equipment in today’s healthcare environment, stakeholders focus their selection criteria on attributes such as proven reliability, increased technologist workflow efficiency, and low total cost of ownership,” explained Tony Galles, vice president of sales and marketing at Del Medical. “The expansion of our OTC12D series is a commitment by Del Medical to offer a wide range of high quality, configurable, digital radiographic equipment across our mid to upper tier portfolio of imaging solutions, far exceeding that criteria.”

Expansion of Del’s OTC12D product line of radiographic systems comes just five months after introducing the OTC12 series in June 2012. The OTC12D-M integrates a tube-side, touch screen generator, and positioning controls, allowing technologists with the capability to focus more on the patient. It is accompanied by 363-kg patient load capacity EV800 elevating table with four-way float top. Standard features of the EV800 include a newly designed flat tabletop, recessed foot treadles, and tableside hand controls for table elevation and float. The OTC12D-M is being offered with Del’s ergonomically controlled VS300 wall stand. A tilting version is expected to be available in early 2013.

The OTC12D-A includes automatic collimation and tube-side, touch screen generator, and positioning controls. The OTC12D-A is accompanied with the EV800 elevating four-way float top table and the VS300 wall stand. The company will offer vertical tube tracking to the VS300 with the OTC12D-A in early 2013. Standard features on Del’s 300 Series wall stands include overhead and side mount posterioranterior (PA) positioning handgrips.

All Del Medical digital radiographic rooms are offered in a single or multidetector configuration, fixed or portable. The new OTC12D Series radiographic suites are designed with both the technologist and patient in mind, while meeting the imaging and fiscal requirements being imposed on current radiology departments.
