The world's largest medical equipment and diagnostics trade show in the world, Medica 2006, will take place in Dusseldorf (Germany), November 15-18, 2006. The show is dedicated to various political, medical, and economic issues in hospital care, ranging from the problems of a new billing system and the optimization of patient care to various organizational and entrepreneurial questions.

Exhibitors will show a specialist audience their latest developments, as universities, research institutes, and consulting companies show how innovations make the leap into industrial manufacturing and what high-technology products are in the pipeline. The show will offer a thorough program of medical information systems and telemedicine.

More than 130 speakers will introduce a wide range of options offered by information technology (IT) in special features, demonstrations, and workshops. Users of medical software in hospitals, doctors' surgeries, and laboratories in cooperation with IT providers will present the potential of modern medical IT in special lectures. In addition, professional associations will make a joint presentation of new medical applications for physio/physical therapists, medicinal spa therapists, masseurs, orthopedists, and sports doctors.

The Medica Business Center is the meeting place for business visitors seeking business partners or offering licenses and patents. A database with offers and requests from around the world is available at the Business Center to anyone seeking new contacts.
