The diagnostic imaging products of GE Medical Systems (Milwaukee, WI, USA) will be offered for sale on medibuy.com, Inc. (San Diego, CA, USA) as the result of an agreement between the two companies. GE will offer its entire line of products, including its LightSpeed computed tomography (CT) system, the Innova digital cardiac x-ray system, and the Senographe 2000D full-field digital mammography system.

GE is among the latest companies to join medibuy's list of suppliers, which includes such firms as Agfa, Beckman Coulter, Dade Behring, and Roche Diagnostics. Medibuy offers purchasing groups and institutions a fast and convenient way to budget, source, and purchase medical and surgical products and capital equipment. The purchasing process is streamlined by medibuy's suite of Marketplace Solutions, Procurement Solutions, Integration Solutions, Equipment Services, and Materials Management Tools.

"We have elected to establish this agreement as part of our overall eCommerce strategy and because of medibuy's existing relationships with some of our largest customers, as well as the opportunity to develop relationships with new customers,” said Paul Mirabella, Americas president and CEO for GE Medical Systems.
