ETS-Lindgren (Glendale Heights, IL, USA) announces its partnering with Everbrite Lighting Technologies (ELT; Greenfield, WI, USA), a division of 75-year-old Everbrite, LLC, a developer of design, engineering, and manufacturing of quality visual identification products.

This partnership enables ETS-Lindgren to provide Everbrite's Medlux lighting systems in their shielded enclosure projects. "This partnership gives us the ability to offer technically advanced lighting solutions to our medical customers as part of our long range vision of providing cutting edge products,” said Ben Turner, vice president of sales and marketing, ETS-Lindren. "It's an ideal arrangement for ourselves, MedLux, and--most importantly--the customers we serve.”

The MedLux range of lighting products is designed specifically for the magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) environment and is a technologic breakthrough in the medical industry. The complementary lighting products include the graphic panel illuminator, a wall mount graphic panel illuminator (GPI), and ceiling-based recessed down-lights (RLD), which all utilize light-emitting diodes (LEDs).

Medlux lighting systems provide significant performance and economic benefits over fluorescent or incandescent lighting. Rated to 100,000 hours and offering more than 10 years of continuous use, this system is a cost-effective, maintenance-free system with no downtime. Its "noise-free” operation ensures no radiofrequency interference (RFI).

Medlux also provides greater flexibility in suite design and functionality. "The MRI environment is taxing on the performance and efficiency of a lighting system,” said Jeff Gatzow, product manager, ELT. "We designed the MedLux LED products to be completely compatible with these demands.”
