A new positron emission tomography (PET) application consists of a wide range of information technology (IT) products, education programs, and service offerings, designed to provide all the capabilities necessary to operate a successful PET imaging practice.

The application, called PETConnect, provides information on image analysis, PET education and marketing, and practice management. PETConnect was developed by CTI Molecular Imaging (Knoxville, TN, USA), a provider of PET equipment, molecular biomarkers, and services. The image analysis software includes a suite of diagnostic applications for oncology, neurology, and cardiology. The PET education and marketing programs are designed to provide users with all the tools necessary to educate their community on the advantages of PET and PET/CT (computed tomography).

The integrated practice management applications provide a turnkey solution to streamlining the daily operations of a PET scanner. By combining reliable dose delivery, image analysis software, PET education and marketing with practice management tools, this application offers PET providers a range of services to increase productivity, improve diagnostic accuracy, and successfully grow their practice.

"Building a successful PET practice requires highly specialized resources and expertise not found with other modalities. With the creation of PET.Connect, we have made it easier for our customers to succeed by integrating these requirements into one cohesive program,” explained Joe Sardino, CTI senior vice president of sales and marketing.
