A highly specialized online course offered through a leading accredited university and targeted to working professionals in the healthcare field allows participants to earn a bachelor of science (B.S.) degree in radiologic sciences. The course will enable radiology technologists to keep abreast of new treatment procedures and technologic advances, adapt to the changing requirements of the practice environment, and boost their earnings potential.

Enrollees participate in all activities via an online learning system, supplemented with e-mail and online discussion groups between professors and students, video and CD-ROM presentations, manuals, and documentation. A mentor assists each student with coursework, provides ongoing feedback, and guides the student through the program.

This course is made possible by GE Medical Systems (Waukesha, WI, USA) and Global HealthEd, a consortium of accredited colleges and universities that provide education to working professionals in the healthcare industry. GE says the program is flexible and affordable. Enrollments are now being accepted for the spring 2001 semester. Details are provided on the GE website.
