A new document and image viewer handles multiple document formats and is capable of querying both the XDS (X Direct Save Protocol) registry and a Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM) archive at the same time. This eliminates the need for additional viewers running side-by-side.

Rogan-Delft, BV (Veenendaal, The Netherlands) has released the full diagnostic XDS-I consumer to complete its XDS product line. The XDS-I consumer is based upon the successful and certified DICOM viewer, View Pro-X, and can be fully embedded in a clinician's diagnostic workflow.

View Pro-X XDS-I is a centrally managed document and image viewer, deployable with concurrent licensing. View Pro-X XDS-I is scalable with basic, all-round, and advanced features and can be combined with all available options such as mammography, teleradiology, and orthopedics templating.

Rogan-Delft's other XDS products are: Zillion XDS registry; Zillion XDS repository; Zillion ROX XDS source; Zillion MPV (multipurpose viewer); and Zillion Source adapters.

Guido Geerts, Rogan-Delft CEO, said of the release, "We are making a huge step towards enabling a regional or national diagnostic environment.” The technology was presented at the Radiology Society of North America (RSNA) annual meeting in Chicago, IL, USA, which took place November 28-December 3, 2010.

Rogan-Delft BV, the first picture archiving and communication system (PACS) company in the world and is one of the major innovators in the market of the PACS solutions. The company invented the Everything On Line (EOL) archive, multiple archive storage servers (MASS), and redundant array of inexpensive servers (RAIS) technology.

With the introduction of the Zillion Suite, Rogan offers healthcare professionals a complete infrastructure for the radiology department and beyond.
