A new high definition direct-digital densitometry system provides clear, high fidelity images of all skeletal sites, revealing details never seen before. It clearly renders the end plates on spine images and identifies intervertebral spaces easily. Proximal femur details can be seen such as the femoral head, visualize cortical thickness, and visualize unprecedented total body images.Posted on 09 Dec 2008
The Lunar iDXA densitometry system's features include: excellence in body mass density (BMD) and body composition; precise and accurate geometrical measurement and advanced hip assessment (AHA), including a.o. color bone mapping and cortical thickness measurement; true high fidelity image; and a complete total body composition examination up to 204 kg.
The system was developed by GE Medical (Chalfont St. Giles, UK).
