Siemens Healthineers (Erlangen, Germany) is unveiling some exciting updates to its family of ultrasound systems at this year’s European Congress of Radiology (ECR), alongside new innovations in MRI and its latest mobile solutions.

At ECR 2023, Siemens is introducing MAGNETOM Cima.X and MAGNETOM Terra.X, two groundbreaking MRI scanners that will enable clinicians to expand the boundaries of clinical care and are designed for creating new insights and equipped with cutting-edge technology. MAGNETOM Terra.X is the company’s next generation 7T MRI featuring the groundbreaking Ultra IQ Technology and the AI-powered Deep Resolve reconstruction technology. MAGNETOM Cima.X is the company’s strongest 3T MRI system ever designed to provide deeper insights into the human body. Transforming patient care, it features planned Gemini Gradients with 200 mT/m at 200 T/m/s for an unparalleled whole-body performance.

Also being highlighted at ECR 2023 is the MAGNETOM Viato.Mobile, Siemens’ mobile MRI scanner built on its powerful 1.5T platform alongside NAEOTOM Alpha with Quantum Technology, the world’s first photon-counting CT. Based on the revolutionary direct signal-conversion of its QuantaMax detector, NAEOTOM Alpha offers high-resolution images at minimal dose, spectral information in every scan, and improved contrast at lower noise. Siemens is also presenting MAGNETOM Free.Max, featuring the world's first 80 cm bore that sets a new paradigm in patient comfort and slots into an existing helium-free infrastructure.

In addition, Siemens is featuring the ACUSON Family of ultrasound machines that utilize powerful imaging technologies to meet the full range of clinical needs. This includes the ACUSON Sequoia system powered by BioAcoustic technology to reduce the effects of ultrasound variability between users, patients and technology; the ACUSON Redwood premium ultrasound system that delivers detailed image quality, advanced technologies and greater workflow efficiency; the ACUSON Juniper shared service ultrasound system that can scan virtually every patient regardless of their size, weight or condition, offering great diagnostic confidence across all departments; and the ACUSON P500 portable ultrasound system to equip clinicians with a powerful lineup of clinical applications right at the bedside.
