Canon Medical Systems Europe BV (The Netherlands) is showcasing its new meaningful innovations and solutions at ECR 2023, accompanied by an educational program, including practical workshops presented by world-renowned clinical experts, supported by the Canon Medical Academy. At ECR 2023, Canon is also launching its newest CT scanner and two enhanced and smart features on the Aceso+ to improve further the workflow and efficiency of its fully motorized X-ray system, live camera and advanced remote control.

During ECR 2023, Canon is introducing the AEC assist functionality on the Canon Mobirex i9 mobile DR system. The company is also offering live demonstrations of the advanced diagnostic imaging capabilities of its Aplio high-end ultrasound system and its AI-based, zero-click solution that uses deep learning technology to streamline workflow.

AEC assist optimizes image quality, improves workflow and provides 5-9 detection areas, depending upon the type of Elite series detectors. The company’s IT solutions include advanced post-processing software that enables visualization and analysis of 2D, 3D, and 4D images of anatomy and physiological functions. In addition, attendees can continue their educational journey by joining Canon’s two symposia: one on Wednesday, March 1, with a focus on ultrasound related to liver applications, and the other on Friday, March 3 with a focus on what’s new in CT & MRI screening and follow-up.

“Canon Medical continues to provide meaningful innovations that enable clinicians and operators to enhance throughput and patient outcomes,” said René Degros, Vice President at Canon Medical Systems Europe. “We invest solely in research and development that directly addresses specific patient needs to help improve life for everyone. We strive to improve healthcare accessibility, cross-platform availability and patient-focused solutions that are truly meaningful and impactful for our customers and vital to patient care pathways.’’

“This year’s ECR theme “The Cycle of Life” works well together with Canon Medical’s Made for Life philosophy and meaningful Innovations campaign as they drive continuous improvement and are finding innovative ways to help the members of our society,” added ESR President Prof. Adrian Brady. “It is crucial that information on progress in Diagnostic - and Interventional Imaging and Solutions are broadly shared, and ESR provides the platforms and opportunities for that information exchange.”
