Villa Sistemi Medicali (Milan, Italy) is presenting the new VDX Next system for digitizing any X-ray equipment at Arab Health 2024, the most important medical industry event in the Middle East.

As part of the VDX Next Systems family, Villa is presenting the advanced VDX Next System Add-on retrofit kit, which simplifies the transition to DR technology in any existing analog or CR radiology system, ensuring fast and efficient conversion. This new package, which integrates a workstation, flat screen detectors, and advanced software, is designed to equip healthcare facilities with an ideal set of tools to increase workflow and diagnostic accuracy while offering a cost-effective solution to upgrade equipment with a strong return on investment. VDX Next System Add-on provides the use of the latest flat panel detectors with an Si TFT (in two sizes: 35x43 cm and 43x43 cm), featuring a durable design and efficient portability, allowing for an easy and quick workflow.

Moreover, the optional Bluetooth DAP kit allows dose measurement and wireless data transmission to the imaging workstation without any connection to the X-ray generator. It simplifies, the monitoring and collection of radiation exposure data, improving the efficiency of health professionals in managing patient radiation doses. This feature also allows the creation of DICOM RDSR ensuring compliance with the latest dose reporting requirements. Instead, when the VDX Next System Add-on is used with Villa analog equipment featuring the G100C X-ray generator and DAP meter, it can be interfaced directly, eliminating the need for a separate DAP device. This integration simplifies the radiological workflow and optimizes resource utilization.

At Arab Health 2024, Villa Sistemi is also demonstrating the VDX Next Software which is at the core of the VDX Next System, providing healthcare professionals with seamless digital radiography. This user-friendly interface, designed for touch screens, guides users through X-ray projections with ease. Anatomical programs automatically select exposure parameters, speeding up the system setting phase. Post-acquisition, the software employs advanced algorithms to enhance image details and harmonize the visibility of the anatomical structures, delivering outstanding quality within seconds for immediate diagnosis. Finally, full DICOM functionalities integrate the digital system efficiently with hospital HIS/RIS and PACS systems, enhancing operational efficiency.
